Work With Me, Viergelyn
rooted in identity, culture & care
A professionally enriching space for early-career and post-licensed mental health counselors to deepen clinical skill, process complex cases, and grow alongside peers — in community
CLINICAL SUPERVISION & CONSULTATION
A space for your whole clinical self
I offer clinical supervision, consultations, and mentorship specifically designed for pre-licensed, newly licensed, and seasoned therapists who are looking to deepen their practice through a culturally affirming, holistic, and relational lens.
Whether you're building your foundational clinical identity, refining a specialization, or navigating the complexity of private practice—this work meets you exactly where you are. Not where a rubric says you should be.
My approach draws on more than twelve years of clinical experience, Brainspotting certification, expressive arts therapy, and an intersectional, trauma-informed framework. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all supervision. I believe in supervision that sees you.

ONE-ON-ONE ·
Individual Clinical Supervision
Individual supervision is the most intensive, personalized container I offer. This is dedicated time — just you and me — to go into the places that group settings can't always reach: the cases that haunt you, the countertransference you haven't been able to name yet, the professional identity questions that keep surfacing.
Sessions are structured but responsive. We'll follow your lead and your cases while building a clear developmental arc toward your clinical and licensure goals.
SESSION DETAILS
Session length 50 or 75 min

Priority placement extended to BIPOC, LGBTQIAS2+, Afro/Latine-Caribbean-identified, and ENM-affirming clinicians.
CASE & CLINICAL CONSULTATIONS
Consultations
Consultation is for licensed clinicians who aren't seeking ongoing supervision but need a focused, expert perspective on a specific case, clinical dilemma, or professional decision. There's no ongoing supervisory relationship — you bring what you need, and we work through it.
Case Consultations
Bring a case that's stuck, complex, or raising questions you can't resolve alone. We'll work through conceptualization, treatment approach, modality selection, and any ethical considerations together.

Best for: Licensed therapists, 1–3 sessions
Brainspotting Consultations
Specialized consultation for BSP-trained clinicians on technique, integration, complex trauma presentations, and/or preparation for BSP certification* requirements.

Best for: BSP Phase 1–2+ clinicians or clinicians using Brainspotting.
For certification: refer to Brainspotting website to see if my current BSP consultant certification has been renewed.
Private Practice Consultations
Transitioning to or growing a private practice? We'll examine your niche, fee structure, referral pipeline, boundary-setting, sustainable caseload, and the intersection of your identity and your practice brand.

Best for: Clinicians building or scaling solo practice
Expressive Arts Clinical Consultations
For ExAT practitioners navigating the integration of creative modalities with clinical work, documentation, cultural considerations, or the expressive arts therapy research and academic landscape.

Best for: ExAT clinicians & graduate students
Ethical & Risk Consultations
When you're navigating a mandated reporting threshold, dual relationship, scope of practice question, or any clinical-ethical situation where an outside perspective would help clarify your decision.

Best for: Any licensed clinician, as-needed
Organizational/Agency Consultation
For clinical directors and training coordinators seeking consultation on trauma-informed organizational culture, culturally responsive clinical frameworks, or staff supervision structure.

Best for: Agencies, CHCs, nonprofits, hospitals
*Contractual agreement for group or organizational consultations are considered.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Peer Mentorship
Mentorship is distinct from supervision and consultation. It's less about your cases and more about you — your career arc, your professional voice, your values as a clinician, and the intersection of your identity with the work you're building.
1.
Early Career: Building the Foundation

For newly licensed or early-career clinicians feeling the gap between graduate training and the realities of clinical practice. We focus on professional identity formation, building confidence in your therapeutic approach, and establishing the values and habits that will sustain your career long-term. This is where you learn how to trust yourself in the room.
"My approach is tailored to meet you at your current professional stage—whether you're seeking licensure, certification, consultations, mentorship, or transitioning to a more independent and integrated practice."
2.
Seasoned Clinician — Refining Your Craft

For experienced therapists who want to deepen a specialization, expand their clinical lens, or reignite professional curiosity. We work on elevating your therapeutic presence, navigating complex cases with innovative approaches, and developing the kind of mastery that takes years but benefits enormously from structured reflection.
2.
Private Practice Transition

For clinicians leaving agency or institutional settings to build or grow their own practice. Mentorship here focuses on the psychological, logistical, and identity dimensions of going independent — defining your niche, building your referral network, setting fees aligned with your values, and creating a practice that reflects your whole self, not just your credentials.

BEYOND SUPERVISION
Acts of Service
I have a proven track record of public speaking at local events, universities, and organizations. I bring the same intersectional, trauma-informed lens I bring to supervision into every facilitation, training, and speaking engagement.

I also serve as a consultant for graduate-level expressive arts students on their theses, helping bridge the gap between academic research, professional development, and immersion into counseling practice.

Available for universities, community organizations, hospitals, and clinical training programs. Engagements are customized to your audience and learning objectives. Please reach out with your event details, timeline, and vision.
